I recently celebrated my birthday and I loved the cards that I received from my friends. When I was invited to a surprise birthday party for a friend, I decided to make her card from my stamps that I am so lucky to be able to have and use every day. I love creating these “Happy” things for others. It was Kim’s 50th birthday and she was surprised! I used Melon Mambo card stock for the base, Pop of Pink Designer Series paper as the background. Love the new stamp set “Pineapple” I created the difference colors by actually stamping the base of the pineapple in Rose Red, Melon Mambo, and Cherry Cobbler. I cut several different parts of the base of the pineapple from different colors and clued them to a Rose Red Pineapple. Using glue dots, it gave a layered look. Same effect with the top of the pineapple using Wild Wasabi and Old Olive inks.
