Happy Monday! Welcome to my website and if you have been here before, Welcome Back!
Today I want to share with you a card that I made for a team challenge. The challenge was to make a card using Analogous colors from the Stampin’ Up! Color Wheel. What is Analogous Colors? I am glad you asked. Analogous colors are colors that are next to each other on the color wheel and have a pleasing visual harmony and balance. I chose 3 colors together: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink and Flirty Flamingo. I absolutely love how they look together. Did you notice the background paper? I put coordinating designer series paper from Full of Life 6″x6″ paper pack in there!!
Today’s card
I used the Online Exclusive bundle Encircled in Nature. I wanted to use outdoor-inspired paper crafting projects bursting with colors! Send a huge thank you or let someone know you’re here for them with the Encircled in Nature Stamp Set. This set features a sprig wreath base and rounded trees, wildflowers, and greenery imagery perfect for layering. The set includes a moon and stars image so you can create an evening scene. This stamp set looks elegant stamped in monochromatic shades, or you can add a pop of color to the flower images. This set has 11 photopolymer stamps. The dies cut paper wreaths for any season. This die set includes two organic wreath shapes, one inspired by twigs and the other by berry sprigs. I layers 3 colors of trees and glued them together to give the wreath a pop! There are 11 dies with the die set.
I didn’t want the sentiment to overwhelm the details of the card so the sentiment is small in comparison. The die set Happy Little Things are perfect to use (163709). To make the ribbon, I cut the edge off of the Iridescent Striped Trim (163299). I then tied a double bow and adhered it to the trees with a mini glue dot.
The dies for this set are fabulous! The picture below shows you how to line up the dies to get a perfect twig wreath! The dies cut paper wreaths for any season. This die set includes two organic wreath shapes, one inspired by twigs and the other by berry sprigs. I layers 3 colors of trees and glued them together to give the wreath a pop! There are 11 dies with the die set.
Colors for Today’s card
This is it! the 3 colors I chose work so well together. Melon Mambo, the new 2024-26 In ColorOne Color, Pretty in Pink and Flirty Flamingo. I used a blending blush and Pretty in Pink to make a “sky line” and then stamped the tree image in Flirty Flamingo. The rest of the card is used Basic White, Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink card stock to make a visually pleasing color combination. When you add Stampin’ Dimensionals to your card for depth and iridescent embellishments (ribbon and pearls) these trees seem to pop off the page.
